Since 1848 the Penn Home has served older adults, providing a comfortable, loving, and moderately priced residential community for older people who are no longer able to live independently. One of the oldest freestanding personal care facilities in the country, the Penn Home is located in the historic Fishtown/Kensington section of Philadelphia. With numerous families living here for generations, many of our residents are lifelong community members.

The Penn Home is committed to offering older adults who have limited finances a safe, comfortable place to live and quality care, all at an affordable rate. Without state or federal aid, we provide 40 senior adults personal care living at a greatly reduced fee.

Our mission is to maintain a quality environment that ministers to the physical, mental and spiritual needs of each resident. We believe in respecting and honoring the independent dignity of every person who enters our door.
